Veterans First Mortgage (“Veterans First”) maintains this website (“the site”) for your personal information, education, and communication. Veterans First Mortgage is a trade name of Wintrust Mortgage, a division of Barrington Bank & Trust Company, N.A., a Wintrust Community Bank.

By accessing and browsing the site, you accept, without limitation or qualification, the terms and conditions and acknowledge that any other agreements between you and Veterans First regarding use of the site are superseded and of no force or effect.

2. Intellectual Property

You should assume that everything you see or read on the site is copyrighted unless otherwise noted and that it may not be used except as expressly provided in these terms and conditions, or in the text on the site, without the written permission of Veterans First. Veterans First neither warrants nor represents that your use of materials displayed on the site will not infringe the rights of third parties not owned by or affiliated with Veterans First.
b. You may download material displayed on the site for non-commercial, personal use only provided you also retain all copyright and other proprietary notices associated with the materials. You may not, however, distribute, modify, transmit, reuse, repost, or use the content of the site for public or commercial purposes, including the text, images, audio, and video, without written permission from Veterans First.
c. Images of people or places displayed on the site are the property of or used with permission granted to Veterans First, or are in the public domain. The use of these images by you, or anyone else authorized by you, is prohibited. d. The trademarks, logos, and service marks (collectively the "trademarks") displayed on the site are registered and unregistered trademarks of Veterans First and others. Nothing contained on the site should be construed as granting, by implication, estoppel, or otherwise, any license or right to use any trademark displayed on the site without the written permission of Veterans First or such third party that may own the trademarks displayed on the site. Your use of the trademarks displayed on the site, or any other content on the site. Any use thereof, except as provided in these terms and conditions, is strictly prohibited. You are also advised that Veterans First will aggressively enforce its intellectual property rights to the fullest extent of the law.
3. Access and Prohibited Uses
a. Veterans First expressly reserves the right to terminate or suspend access of User to the site for any reason, whatsoever, including, but not limited to, a violation of the Terms of Use, revocation or withdrawal of User’s consent to receive electronic delivery of Documents/Disclosures, or any inappropriate or unlawful behavior. Further, Veterans First reserves the right to modify or discontinue use of the site, or any portal or website or technology associated with the site, at any time, with or without notice. Veterans First shall have no liability to User, nor to any other person, whomsoever, for any losses or damages resulting, directly or indirectly, from its exercise of any of its reserved rights, whether reserved in this paragraph or any other provision.
b. User agrees that User will not divulge the User’s login/password information to any other person, nor in any other way allow any other person(s) to access User’s account on the site.
c. User expressly agrees not to use the site for private or political communications, pornography, or illegal communications or materials of any kind. User agrees that User shall not use the site to access, nor shall User in any way attempt to access, information belonging to any other consumer(s), whomsoever. In the event that User believes that they have inadvertently come into contact with information that belongs to any other consumer, User agrees to immediately close the document (or, if it has already been downloaded, to delete it), not to download the same, and to immediately notify Veterans First at [email protected].
4. Security and Privacy
a. Maintaining the security of your information is a top priority at Veterans First. Veterans First uses physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use. When you provide personal information through online forms, your information will be scrambled using SSL encryption technology before being sent over the Internet.

d. Tracking and Advertising Technologies
i. We collect non-personal information to improve the site and understand our visitors’ interactions with it. That information includes, but is not limited to: referring/exit pages, internet protocol (IP) address, internet service provider (ISP), operating system, date/time stamp, the web pages you visited and your interactions with those pages.

5. Social Media Widgets and Links to Other Sites

a. Experiences featured are those of actual clients of Veterans First. They reflect real life experiences of those who have used our products and/or services in some way or another. They are individual results, and results do vary. The testimonials are not necessarily representative of all of those who will use our services. The individuals featured may have been compensated by Veterans First for their time in sharing their experience.
7. Governing Law
a. These Terms of Use shall be governed by the laws of the state of Illinois, without regard to principles of conflicts of law. In the event of a dispute, User and Veterans First submit to the jurisdiction of, and waiving any venue objections against, the United States District Court for the District of Illinois, and the District Courts of the State of Illinois, Cook County for any litigation.
8. Updates
a. It is agreed that Veterans First shall have the right to modify these Terms of Use, at any time, with or without notice, effective upon posting. Continued use by the User after an amendment or modification by Veterans First means that User has accepted the revised terms, whether or not User has reviewed such revised terms. User agrees that User shall have a duty to regularly inspect the Terms of Use and review them to determine the terms and conditions then applicable to use of the site.
