Denitra Cosby has a wealth of experience in the lending industry. She started working mortgages even before she turned 18, when she had a job with Utah Financial Mortgage as a lock coordinator, and worked her way to a loan coordinator within a year and a half. When that office closed, she went to Primary Residential Mortgage as an escrow auditor, then First National Bank in secondary marketing, where she locked loans for all their loan originators for four years. Prior to joining the Veterans First team in early 2016 and bringing us her talents, Denitra was a leasing agent for UPMA and a lead coordinator for Keller Williams Realty.

Denitra enjoys working for such a team-oriented company, and considers being a full-fledged loan officer her chance to fulfill a dream she’s been striving to achieve for many years. She enjoys learning a Veteran’s history as she gets to know her clients. “To see a side of life I never knew or even understood, and to learn how much these selfless individuals have done, then to have a chance to give back by helping them buy a home, pay off debt, or pull some cash out is an amazing opportunity,” she says.

Integrity, faithfulness, and fostering trust with team leaders, coworkers, and clients, are a vital part of Denitra’s work ethic. Whether it is at work or outside of work, she takes responsibility for all that she commits to.

Denitra has a husband and two children – a boy and a girl – and feels she grows every day as a wife and mother. Weekends include family fun time, aquariums, dancing, playing at the park, vacations, and experiencing life with friends. She takes pleasure in Pilates and just a good cardio workout. One personal indulgence is to find a quiet place, preferably with a scenic view or a local book store, to curl up with a great book and feel the words and knowledge that come with the joy of reading.
